Discover the Hermetic Principles
The Hermetic Principles come from Hermetic philosophy, traditionally attributed to Hermes Trismegistus, and are most famously summarized in The Kybalion. These principles describe how consciousness, reality, and natural law operate beneath the surface of physical life. Below are the seven Hermetic principles, explained in a grounded, Hue Assumptions–aligned way.

The Principle of Mentalism
The Principle of Mentalism states that all is mind. Reality originates in consciousness, meaning the universe itself is mental in nature rather than purely physical. What appears as matter is an expression of thought at a deeper level. This principle teaches that experience begins internally, and that the state of mind you occupy determines how reality forms around you. When consciousness shifts, reality must follow because mind is the source of all form.

The Principle of Correspondence
The Principle of Correspondence reflects the idea that your outer world mirrors your inner world. The patterns you notice in relationships, work, and daily life often reflect the assumptions you carry about yourself and what’s possible. By paying attention to these reflections, you gain insight into what’s happening within you—and what’s ready to change.

The Principle of Vibration
The Principle of Vibration teaches that nothing is truly still. Everything—thoughts, emotions, beliefs—exists in motion and carries a certain energetic tone. When your internal state shifts, even subtly, your experience of life begins to shift with it. Change doesn’t require force; it happens through gentle movement toward balance and ease.

The Principle of Polarity
The Principle of Polarity explains that what we see as opposites are really different expressions of the same thing. Fear and confidence, lack and abundance, tension and relaxation all exist on a spectrum. You don’t need to eliminate one to reach the other—you simply move your awareness toward the experience you prefer.

The Principle of Rhythm
The Principle of Rhythm reminds us that life moves in cycles. There are times for action and times for rest, moments of clarity and moments of integration. These rhythms are natural and supportive, not signs that something is wrong. Honoring them allows life to unfold with more grace and less resistance.

The Principle of Cause and Effect
The Principle of Cause and Effect teaches that experiences don’t happen randomly. What shows up in your life has roots in beliefs, assumptions, and patterns—many of which operate quietly beneath the surface. When you begin to shift these inner causes, the effects in your outer world naturally begin to change as well.

The Principle of Gender
The Principle of Gender speaks to the balance of two complementary energies present in all of us. One energy provides direction, intention, and structure, while the other allows receptivity, intuition, and flow. When these energies work together rather than against each other, creation feels more natural and less effortful.

Understanding Universal Laws
Dive into the core principles guiding existence, revealing how Universal Laws influence our reality and empower manifestation.
1
First Law: The Law of Divine Oneness
The Law of Divine Oneness teaches that everything in existence is interconnected. There is no true separation between you, others, or the world around you—only the appearance of it. Every thought, belief, and action you hold contributes to the shared field of consciousness we all participate in. When you change your inner state, you are not acting in isolation; you are influencing the whole. This law reminds us that how we treat ourselves is inseparable from how we experience life itself.
2
Second Law: The Law of Vibration
The Law of Vibration states that everything is in constant motion and carries a frequency, including thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. Even when nothing appears to be happening, energy is always moving. Your dominant emotional state reflects the vibration you are consistently offering, which shapes how you experience reality. This law is not about maintaining a forced positivity, but about becoming aware of the state you are living from and gently guiding it toward regulation, clarity, and balance.
3
Third Law: The Law of Coorespondence
The Law of Correspondence expresses the principle that the outer world reflects the inner world. Your external experiences mirror your beliefs, assumptions, and self-concept, often in subtle and symbolic ways. Patterns in relationships, finances, and daily life reveal what has been normalized internally. Rather than seeing circumstances as random or unfair, this law invites you to view reality as feedback that helps you recognize what is operating beneath the surface of your awareness.
4
First Law: The Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction explains that like attracts like, meaning you draw experiences that match your dominant assumptions and expectations. It is not desire alone that creates results, but the identity and emotional familiarity you hold around what you want. What feels natural and believable to you tends to repeat. When your assumptions shift, what you attract must also change, because reality reorganizes itself to remain consistent with your internal state.
5
Second Law: The Law of Inspired Action
The Law of Inspired Action shows that aligned action flows naturally from inner certainty. When beliefs and nervous system regulation are in harmony, movement feels intuitive rather than forced. Decisions arise with clarity instead of pressure, and opportunities appear without strain. This law emphasizes that action is not something to push through willpower, but something that unfolds organically once inner alignment is established.
6
Third Law: The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy teaches that energy is always capable of changing form. Lower emotional states such as fear, doubt, or lack are not permanent conditions, but energy waiting to be redirected. Through awareness, presence, and conscious choice, energy naturally transforms into higher expressions like clarity, calm, and confidence. This law reminds us that nothing needs to be fought or suppressed for change to occur.
7
First Law: The Law of Cause and Effect
The Law of Cause and Effect states that every experience has an originating cause, whether conscious or unconscious. Nothing happens by chance; outcomes are the result of assumptions, beliefs, and internal decisions made over time. This law is not about assigning blame, but about reclaiming responsibility and authorship over your experience. When the cause changes internally, the effect must eventually shift externally.
8
Second Law: The Law of Compensation
The Law of Compensation explains that what you give—through attention, belief, intention, and contribution—returns to you in some form. Compensation is not limited to material reward, but includes emotional fulfillment, opportunity, and energetic exchange. The return may not always be immediate or predictable, but it is always precise. When you recognize your own value and offer it freely, life reflects that recognition back to you.
9
Third Law: The Law of Relativity
IThe Law of Relativity teaches that nothing has inherent meaning on its own. All experiences gain meaning through comparison and interpretation. What feels difficult or limiting is often revealed as temporary when viewed from a broader perspective. This law reminds us that perception shapes experience, and by shifting meaning, we can soften resistance and access greater ease within the same circumstances.
10
First Law: The Law of Polarity
The Law of Polarity states that everything exists on a spectrum with an apparent opposite. Fear and confidence, lack and abundance, resistance and allowance are not separate states but different degrees of the same energy. You do not eliminate one to reach the other; you shift your position along the scale. This law reveals that change does not require something new, only a movement in awareness.
11
Second Law: The Law of Rhythm
The Law of Rhythm describes the natural cycles present in all aspects of life. There are periods of growth, rest, expansion, and integration, each serving a purpose. Resisting these rhythms creates tension, while honoring them allows flow. This law teaches that rest and stillness are not interruptions to progress, but essential phases that support sustainable transformation.
12
Third Law: The Law of Gender
The Law of Gender explains that all creation involves a balance of masculine and feminine energy. Masculine energy provides structure, direction, and intention, while feminine energy allows receptivity, intuition, and flow. Neither is superior, and imbalance in either direction creates friction. Manifestation occurs most effortlessly when intention is paired with openness and trust.
Hermetic Principles vs Universal Laws
Understanding the Difference — and the Overlap
Both the Hermetic Principles and the Universal Laws describe how reality operates beneath the surface of physical life. They come from different traditions and use different language, but they point toward the same underlying truth: inner consciousness shapes outer experience. Understanding how they relate helps clarify where to focus your energy—and where you don’t need to over-effort.
